Hmmm, I have an idea, but not sure if its a solution or not. I would setup a null object for x/y/z reference. Then determine where that object lays in your PV3D world. So that if the object is in the viewfinder, it attaches your movieclip or whatever else. When its not in view it removes the movieclip, but keeps that null object data for future reference. That way it's only rendering coordinates when its not in view, rather than bitmapdata or something else... I don't know... i'm still a noob when it comes to this kind of stuff... :)

For some more information...

Here is a link to the .swf http://www.cerdec.army.mil/RDECOM_Web_Banner_800.html

It's a straight Flash piece, there is no XML or DHTML.

The reason for creating a single .swf for the drop downs is because this banner will serve as branding and will go on the top of all 9 of the commands under the main one. It needs to be easily incorporated into the pages of the underlying commands.

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know if I understand the question completely, but if your just trying to load a SWF into another SWF, then just use the Loader class in AS3. Here's a good example http://www.iheartactionscript.com/loading-an-external-swf-in-as3/

Blitting, or the process of writing bitmap data directly to the display instead of using MovieClips is one of my favorite topics. I have been doing a lot of experimenting with bitmap manipulation before and here area few resources that go me started:

http://jessewarden.com/2005/11/blitting-double-buffering-for-tile-based-games-in-flash-flex-part-1-of-3.html

http://www.8bitrocket.com/blog.aspx?BCATID=206

Also here is a tutorial I wrote on bitmap compositing which goes over blitting's underlying concept of combingin multiple bitmaps to reder out a single image:

http://www.thetechlabs.com/tutorials/flash/create-random-torn-photos-with-actionscript-30/

Hope this helps.

Securely logging into Flash is not one of it's strong suits. I would suggest doing the login information server side or through a php script before you get into the content of your site. This is old but may help you out http://www.sephiroth.it/tutorials/flashPHP/authentication/

All signs point to no. Looks like Unity 3d and Silverlight will be the only games in town for true 3d on the web. I started turning blue while holding my breath for Adobe to catch up to director's plugin. Oh yeah Director had 3d too... Damn!

This should help you with when the right time for your dog to have sex is http://www.ehow.com/how_2228000_breed-dog.htm.

As far as the male pregnancy question, I would suggest you watch this film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110216/.

Finally, put the gun down and just have a coke with a smile. Or skip the smile and just have the coke.
